Backup is a task that should be daily, but occasionally, if not most of the time, it usually stays in the background. All your documents, business data, photos, videos, music etc. can be disappeared for involuntary deletion, accident, theft or hijacking of data, and that?s why the backup must be part of a contingency plan which will support business continuity in case of any incident occurs.
Therefore, there are several ways to make the backup of company data. Backups can be stored inside the corporation or outside of them. In case of choosing to keep data within the installation, they must be put in a different place where the operative systems are installed for security reasons.
If you decide to store your data off-site the company, it is usually choosen to keep them in the Data Protection centers (CPD) where the facilities are specially fit out(prepared) for this.
Consequently, to guarantee the availability of data, it is necessary to make periodic backups that can allow to get back the original information in the event of fire, natural disaster, theft...
